Wow, that replica of the sword is so much cheaper than the "Official" Sony Pictures authorized replica of it.

erm......I think the cheaper one is better though.
1. it's a normal Chinese sword so it's more authentic in a way 2. since when was the Green Destiny actually GREEN? (plus it looks like plastic) 3. erm...it's cheaper!!!!!!! (sorry, Chinese blood kicking in now.....hehe) Of course, the other one comes with a BOX.....hmm.......... |

$139 is not too bad for a movie replica sword!
The last sword with the green on it looks a bit shady ... I wouldn't buy it. -GDS |

Hmm....the cheaper one isn't exact either. It comes with a red tassel. So I'd say just buy a yellow one and use that instead!!

Replica swords: over the net more likely. Except swords over the internet are extremely overpriced and shipping costs alot too.

Hmm.....that IS a better buy. $10 cheaper than Superior Martial Arts (the link I posted).
But then again, I strongly advise you not to get swords over the internet. They're ALOT overpriced. For example, this broadsword is being sold for $78.84 USD plus $25 USD shipping which comes to a total of $103.84 USD. I got it for $40 CDN (which is $25 USD) without having to pay for shipping because I bought it in a store (and we know the guy who sold it to us). Now that's about 5 times less than if I had bought it over the internet. So be careful when buying over the net... |

Probably not... the GDS aint really a that common thing, since its not something people would usually use to train with. I think if you would get a lower price, you should try and find it in a store not over the net.

Hahaha......maybe I could buy a cheap straight sword and then "modify" it!! Hehehe....well, I'm doing that with this really cheap broadsword...it basically look like it came out of the gutter when I bought it.
The sheath had this ugly-colored (and patterned) plastic covering it. I just took a knife, ran it along the side, and stripped off the plastic. Then I took sandpaper and smoothed it all up. This week I'm going to stain or paint the wood, then apply a lacquer coating on top. I'm going to get some chrome touch-up paint (or metal spray paint) because the aluminum parts have tarnish or something on them. Then buy a few pieces of nylon for the sash and then it will look better than new!! Hmm...maybe carve my Chinese name into the side too? I'll see if I can post a photo when it's done sometime. |

Flexible blade = wushu steel
Actually broadswords are hard as well. It's just for demonstrations, flooppy swords look cool cause it makes alot of noise and it flashes alot of light. |
