Ok when i first saw this movie i was thinking "what type of martial arts are they doing?" i had figured northern martial arts. But when mum said that Shu Lien was doing Shaolin fist my jaw just dropped and i said to myself that aint no shaolin fist........The only sign of her being taught Shaolin techniqes is that she prefers to use a shaung dao, apart from that she uses similar techniques to Jen .......(keep in mind i said similar) And yes i know that there are a few hints in her punches but theyre not convincing. Shu lien is of course a better fighter than long but only because of her experience if long had been fighting as long as her shu lien wouldent be a match ive also noticed that there must have been some martial arts background for jade fox seeing that shes always got tricks up her sleeve......out of all the characters she is my favourite and i belive she was the true victim in the film and you know i think she is a very skilled fighter but i have to admit when she had the little confrontation with long about her studying the manual by herself it goes to show the thumb will always prevail over the index finger i would also like to ad that i like the way li mu bai fights its like he has gone through all this training to the point where his skill makes him untouchable without effort;(in the temple with jiao long)..he sees through her every move and i like that with long and her fighting technique you can see some raw jade fox there aswell as wudan youd never find a wundan warror dressed up as a theif and stealing things and the way she moved, that night it was as if she was a shadow the only minus is the male and female stunt people doing some of her fighting and i saw some scenes where there were stunt men in unnessacary places...........like the part she saves jade fox from LMB ..... she does the splits to block his attack when you see her getting back up its the stant man and im like.........why on earth would u need a stunt man to get off the ground?
